Selling UK plates

I bought a car in the UK 2 weeks ago, got the plates changed etc and am wondering how I can sell the plates back to the UK.

If you bought the car with 'cherished' plates and marked the car for permanent export on the V5 then there's nothing you can do, the DVLA retains the title to the registration number.

If you changed the car to a 'new keeper' at a UK address then you can still sell them, and can do a transfer of cherished plates.
