    Hi All

I'm working for a commercial joinery company, we specialise in pub, hotel and restaurants amoung others.
Part of my job is to bring in new business, however all I can find is work that is at planning stage.
Does anyone know of a website where new pubs are discussed or reviewed, someplace I can log on and see that a new pub is planned and who is doing it.

    Any help appreciated.

http://www.ratemypub.ie/ - think someone here on boards owns it.
I'm not sure what you're asking, are you looking for pubs which have newly opening?

    Thanks zAbbo
What i'm looking for is a means of finding pubs which are at design / construction stage. I want to be able to approach them and offer the services of the company I work for as a design and fitout specialist.

    Couple of thoughts:

First thing I googled pubs for sale

Remember to select Ireland only option!!

    Then licencing applications

The councils have to declare all applications in case of any objections - I would think that would be a good option?

How about contacts in breweries? Wholesalers? Estate Agents?

Have you got a website selling your services?

We do have a website www.clohane.ie and its optimised for for search engines finding us in relation to joinery.
I am signed up to a website that gives us construction information, but most of it is at planning stage and i'm looking for projects that are further along. You've given me a few good idea's to follow through though.

SEO for your trade will be difficult due to the duality of your business. Keywords for the commercial will not bring up hits for the private kitchens....

Marketing is about much much more than waiting for customers to find you on search. You can be extremely proactive online for no cost.

Let me know if you want any more help or should I shut up and get my coat lol

No, your imput is welcomed, I don't have a background in marketing or business development. I'm involved with pricing and managing work, however my role also involves business development. Something i'm finding a little harder to get through.

I have been working on line searching databases etc, googling pubs and pub related websites. searching for architects and designers who deal with that area.

By the way what does SEO stand for?
