New Nat Question

Sorry for another Nat thread but I need some help. I was one of the people who could not get Nat type 1 by following that video on youtube. I finally got it working by going into the router page, clicking expert, then configure, then connection and there I enabled bridging. When I done this I saved and restarted connection. After the router had restarted I followed the instructions in that video ( username : eircom@eircom.net password : broadband1) and I got Nat type 1 right away but I could connect to the internet on the laptop. I cant even get on to the router homepage to disable bridging so I have to reset the router ever time I finish playing. I dont know what bridging is so I dont know what way its working but is there any way I can get both to run at same time like everyone else has?

    haha sorry
laughing at you hadnt a clue what you were at yet you still went into expert mode accepted the warnings and changed the settings

bridging mode is when you just want to use the 2247 as a modem and use another router for your connections afaik

try a wired connection to router and try login in router page again

    I'm having NAT Problems aswell.

If I enable bridging does that mean I can use the Netopia 2247 as a modem and use a Linksys router to handle NAT, etc etc?

I've given up on trying to use the Netopia as a bridge.

Just going to buy a Linksys ADSL router to replace the Netopia. Presumably, I'll get Nat 1 or 2 that way.
