Ventilation in an old cubicle house

    Hi
I want to improve the ventilation in an old cubicle house. It is roofed with corrugated iron sheets. Someone suggested raising a couple of the sheets in each bay by inserting timber battens between the sheets at the laps. Anyone know how much should I raise these sheets by? I have looked through the Dept.agri specifications but can not find any guidelines
    Thanks

it depends on type of roof ( A shaped or round ) location of building etc.

Basically you need an outlet at the highest part of the roof, also for circulation you need adequate inlet air flow,

the latter could be achieved by space boarding/ vented sheeting etc

    Thanks snowman707
As you say, I will need adequate inlet air flow. Builder told me the same thing a couple of days ago. It will take more than raising a few sheets to improve the ventilation as it is surrounded by other buildings. Plenty work for me and my builder again this summer. I guess it is worth it in the long run though.

WE had the same thing in the slatted shead last winter. The high point vent was blocked on one side - guess who go the job to clamber up on the old asbestos sheets and open it back up.
What ever you do be carefull not to open up the roof in such a way that the wind could possible lift it in the future.

In the end we opened the back door for the crush and left it open, with a gate inside.
