Where can I go to escape your horrible snot nosed brats? I can't go to the pub, they are in there every Sunday screaming and shouting, can't get a nice quiet hangover fry for the same reason. I was in a restaurant last night and had to endure a horrible baby crying for 45 minutes, The baby was obviously tired, why did the parents insisted on staying there annoying everyone else? You would think they would have the decency to at least take the baby outside until it calms down. Where can one go to escape the cretins?

Let the barrage of angry 'you wait 'til you have runts of your own' comments commence....

Michael Jackson's Mansion? (He's watched now?)

Oh, my sociology free elective lecture. Everyone's asleep there too.

Don't you just love it when you plan a dinner and a movie out, and you make the film late so that you can avoid these interruptions, only to find some lady without a sitter for her baby, and the baby screams each time she brings it back into the cinema?

Or the bloke next to you who's mobile is left on, and right at an intense scene, his mobile goes off with a silly chime and he chats away loud enough to overcome the cinema sound?

actually someone should teach the little shi.tes that librarys are quiet places where people are trying to study and not playgrounds were it is somewhat acceptable to run around screaming

    Dead heat. :)

Have to say I'm surprised that some people would actually bring a baby to a restaurant in the evening, or a cinema at any time. :(

    I like Billy Connolly's saying....

"Kids are like farts, you don't mind your own but can't stand anyone elses"

Kids shouldn't be allowed in places other than cheches, supermarkets and their homes until the age of 4, and at that age they should have to wear shock collars until they pass a behavioral test. So annoying when they're screaming away in restaurants, or running around or throwing things

Try Matt the Tresher in Birdhill Co Tipperary. He asked women to leave with screaming babies and will not provide high chairs and will not let you feed your child in his restaurant unless you are ordering food.

He once would not let me sit down to eat at the empty table for 4 because a group of 4 may come in so told me to wait. Needless to say I left.

    Hate that man.

Recently defending himself on Gerry Ryan, Matt Cooper and Ray Darcy to name a few.

See, none of this would be a problem if parents these days weren't too ****ing lazy/ignorant to TAKE THEIR LITTLE BRAT OUTSIDE FOR A BIT IF THEY START CRYING AND SCREAMING. Wtf happened to a bit of parental cop on like? I mean, i'd assume most of our parents did it when we started acting up as kids in a public place like the pub or what not.

Parents these days appear to believe that if they've to put up with it, everyone has to.

Perhaps, if in a restaurant when it happens, ask a waitress could they sort it out or you'll go elsewhere should it continue, without paying of course.

 Am I the only one who thinks that all of that sounds perfectly reasonable???

You'd actually be surprised about how many people morph from being annoyed at noisy kids to What? My angel? when they have their own. Have seen it myself.

There are more and more hotels these days that are adults only. I'd like to see a few restaurants open up like that. Can't stand listening to them. Especially in the south side of Dublin, where I sadly live, and the annoying little brats are treated like royalty and never disciplined no matter how much they're p***ing everyone off.

I might like kids a little more when I have my own but I can't see myself ever liking brats or the parents who create them!
