Hi. I need some advice on where I can/should go for some liver blood tests. I am not from Ireland, but I have Quinn insurance.
Can you recommend a clinic/hospital in the south or in the city center where I can get the tests done well and fast?

    Thanks!

Any GP can send bloods for liver function tests. Are there some other tests you had in mind?

As above, your GP can do them. To have them done in the private sector can cost around 60 yoyo JUST TO HAVE THE BLOODS TAKEN, then add in the visit (around €100-200) to the private clinic to have them interpreted.

And public sector means visiting some hospital? or maybe there are some public clinics that handle simple things like blood tests?

From my own experience, I've had to pay 60 euro for a GP visit, 20 euro for the blood test and got results over the phone (no charge).

GP practices often do blood tests. Many hospitals also have phlebotomy depts where you would walk in with a slip from your GP stating which blood tests you are to have done*. Results would be available in a day or two either way**.

*There shouldn't be an extra charge for this.

**Most liver related blood tests take a few hours to process, others might take a few days or upto a week, especially if routine.
