    It's only 1K to tax 225g/km = band F = €1000 per year

    It's one car on my "next to buy" list - just waiting to see what kind of a trade in value i'll get for my motor first....

    The UK press have always been ridiculously biased towards Ford, ever since Ford used to make cars over there. CAR magazine is a bit less biased than some; they like the RS and pretend that front wheel drive was a good plan instead of a cost cutting measure, but they admit:
    Well, despite all the hype that surrounds RevoKnuckle – a system that allows MacPherson strut suspension to behave with the purity of a multi-link set-up – we can conclusively report that this car does torque steer. It’s not chaotic like the Mk1 Focus RS could be, but the steering wheel will firm up noticeably under hard acceleration and the wheels scrabble for grip in the lower gears – the ESP system allowing the driver to dictate when power should be cut in most situations, rather than cutting in early and spoiling the fun.

    A disappointment, perhaps, but then what did we expect with 301bhp going through the front wheels?

    What's with Ford and the fake vents these days? The wife's S-Max people carrier has fake vents behind the front arches. Who do they think they're kidding?

    My bad .... yes it is

    Band F: cars that produce 191g-225g/km CO2 - €1,000 road tax;
    Band G: cars that produce 226g/km CO2 and over - €2,000 road tax

    They had it down @ 2k pa in the review...

    It'd be nice to get a proper answer from Ford Ireland. I imagine this would be the killer for a lot of people. A grand is just about manageable for a good few people but 2 grand would put off a lot of potential buyers. Looks an amazing car alright. Cant wait to see a lime green one in the flesh!

    Hi Zube

    All articles mention the torque steer but my point is that the car isnt undrivable like the 147GTA or something....he also goes on to say

    "Front-wheel drive was definitely the way to go; there’s so much front-end grip that you just don’t need driven rear wheels and we’ll gladly take the consequences of that lively front end for the extra agility that the lighter two-wheel drive set-up affords. "

    It's defo only 1K a year in tax.
    I got this confirmed by Ford Ireland
    Here's a brochure that confirms it
