    Why are some forums hosted forums and not larger (regular) forums?

    How can you request a hosted forum?

    Hosted forums are afaik pre-existing communities, exterlan to Boards.ie but who want to be accessable via this site (probably to increase traffic?).

    At least that's what I've always understood.

    Yes, it's possible to request to be hosted.
