    Hey,

Here's the lowdown for the Sibin Festival which takes place this Saturday:

Over 55 acts, 6 stages and over 14 hours of craic, Saturday May 2nd see’s the return of Sibin 2009. With the huge success of last years event, this year promises to be Bigger, Badder and Bolder. Sibin aims to set the standard in small independent Irish festivals and strives to provide the highest level of music, facilities and especially the sound systems. Taking world renowned artists and amazing local crews from across the country and putting them in an intimate setting for the pleasure of entertainment of only 1500 party and music lovers!! Coming together this year are some of Dublin’s finest crews, Electricity, Reach, !Kaboogie, Worries Outernatioanl, Connected, Acii-Disco, Antics, Hospital, Rootical, jacKit, Drop, external Sounds and many more.

We have put together a line-up that is unique to the festival goer and at a mere recession busting price of €47.50, Sibin intends to lure you into a positively perfect party experience. There will be a full bar throughout the whole event and an all day BB-Q, and if last years weather is anything to go by, you can enjoy a nice pint, great food and quality music in the sun. Sibin Festival takes place at the Man O’War Pub, Balbriggian, Co. Dublin. The site itself, on the grounds of one of the oldest pubs in the country, is in a beautiful rural part of north Co. Dublin. We want to keep it that way and so we have placed the ‘leave no trace’ ethic at the very core of the event. The festival hopes to promote ecologically aware living and sustainability, and we are confident that festival goers will share in this vision and minimize their impact on the local environment. Sibin is an eco friendly festival with proper waste and recycling stations so we encourage you to use them. Please NO GLASS!!!!

    Getting there and back:

It's only 30 mins by train to Balbriggian or 40 mins by bus and there you will be greeted by a Sibin Representative to guide you to the free feeder bus running to the Man O' War Pub all day until the last train and buses from Dublin city centre.

As the event this year is running from 12pm - 3am, there will be buses starting to go back to the city centre from 2am for €5 (and there will be alot more buses this year as opposed to last year)

Also as the local taxi companies were very reluctant coming out from the surrounding area's last year so we have brought in a Swords Taxi company that will be on call for us all night for anyone that needs a cab home. The number will be at the information stand at the entrance, please allow 20 mins for arrival. Our transport system this year is alot better so don't worry about been stuck out there!! Any queries regarding this please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Electricity stage set times:

    2 - 3 // Jay Galligan
    3 - 4 // Scott Logan
    4 - 5 // Dan McElligott

    Tickets:

Priced € 47.50 + booking fee are available from www tickets.ie / All City / Spindizzy records. Tickets may be purchased on the door on the day, subject to availability so better to be safe than sorry and get them before arrival.

Hope to see some of you there for the first outdoor festival of the year.
