no childcare - dole?

    Hi all,
I am a single-parent working full-time in the same job for the last two years but due to circumstances beyond my control, I have no childcare since last Monday.

I haven't been able to find anyone to look after my child so I have no option but to leave my job. But if I leave of my own accord I am not entitled to claim benefits for weeks. I cant afford to wait that long. Is there any way around this when I have no-one to mind my daughter and I am not leaving because of other issues.

I have offered to do part-time hours but my employer doesn't agree to that. I have no income, what can I do?

    Thanks

In the morning dont go to work.Ring in and say you have no childcare for your daughter.Do this a few days in a row and your boss will happily SACK YOU.
    OR
use up your Holiday entitlements before you do this and then do the above
Be warned there is a pretty big delay in receiving anything from the Dole so make sure you can cover yourself till then
