    Hi,

I'm looking to buy just a standard Freesat HD receiver. Could someone recommend an online supplier to me. I'm not looking for a HD+ box as the budget won't stretch... thanks in advance...

Have good look through the threads in Satellite and you will be very unlucky not to find exactly what you are looking for.

The Bush Reciever I got, from Argos up north, only cost €89 at crimbo and works great!

They still dont seem to have the software right on the grundig ones. So maybe avoid them for a while if you like having the sound working all the time.

I can't say I have noticed the audio cutting out on its own on my Bush HD and that is the same software / box as the Grundig.

It is possible however to make audio drop by going very very quickly through the epg. I have managed to do this once since the software was updated and that was by clicking through the epg without waiting for any data to appear on screen.

Mine usually loses sound when I leave it on for hours at a time. It happed a few times when I turned off the television but forgot to turn the sat box off . I came back a few hours later and the sound is gone. Terrestrial channels have sound so its definitely the sat box thats losin the sound.
