I got Sky+ installed in late December and have just realised that I haven't received Sky magazine yet. I reckon I can live without it, so I'm not really worried. Is there actually anything in there other than reviews and Sky trying to sell me stuff ?

I was trying to work out why I never got the magazine and the nearest I can guess is that when the guy started rattling off his spiel about "Sky and other dodgy organisations may contact you from time to time with, like, amaaaaazing offers. . ." and I came back with a "Stop right there, son, you can take my name off that list right now" I must have unsubscribed myself from the magazine. If that's the case, is there anything else I could *usefully* be getting from these guys but I don't know about because I didn't want to be getting phonecalls in the middle of my dinner ?

take the magazine like its garnish with a dinner in a restaurant, if its worth having it would be offered on its own with a separate charge.

Mine comes in the letterbox, goes from the frontdoor to the backdoor for recycling. nothing but crap.
if the women in the house (2) dont even take it out of the plastic, then take it from them that its junk

also, I have a enough with the ads on the telly, never mind looking at their mag. .. .

+1 . Exactly the same with me. OP, you should also note that Sky will br very quick to put you on the mailig list of a whole range of firms who WILL flood you with offers. There is a thread regarding a letter issued by Sky last year on this subject. Sorry, I cannot link to it.

    Oooooh, but it is.
Part of your monthy fee goes towards a subscription of the magazine, but even if you opt out of recieving it they stil charge you that fee.

    That magazine is garbage.

Look at the viewers questions sometime:
Question: "I love Bones and can't wait for it to come back. When is it coming back?"
Reply: Hi Jackie, Bones returns to Sky 1 next Sunday at 9pm.

Question: " I love Sky Arts and think HD is brilliant"
Reply: "John, You are in luck, Sky Arts HD launches next week."

What a load of bull****. Who would even write into them?

Reduce my sub by €2 p/m instead.

I LOVE the magazine, some days I don't even bother watching SKY I just read the magazine. Then archive the magazine so the nation can enjoy it again in years to come.

No wait, now I think of it, its utter crap.

Think of magazines such as 'Hello'.

Then think of it being thrown in a washing machine, with.. Dirty socks :)

Having posted this a few days ago, the mag actually arrived yesterday. I can't believe the stuff in it. I think there's an article called "My dog saved my life" or something to that effect. There's a reason I don't buy magazines with headlines like that.
