Not at all. Just think that his business seems to rely somewhat on word of mouth and thought that decent service merited recognition. Everyone always shouts about poor service, i thought i'd change it up a little. He also organised for my umbrella to be dropped back to me after i left it there:D

Believe me, i haven't the faintest idea how to fix rrod, ds, etc.

Whats wrong with them? If the screens are broken definitely check out consolerepairsireland, I think its only €15 for screen replacement there

second one my little girl threw it and the 1 hindge is broke of so in otherwords the top screen is slightly hanging off, .. the screen is also totally blank when switched on..

third one dont know what happened it, it will charge, it will come on and load game but touch screen wont work.. its like if its paused once the game comes on..

There is no way its €15 to get a screen fixed, that must be just to buy the part off them

What does your warranty cover? (it may cover accidental falls?? or maybe not)...

If not I recommend consolerepairsireland.ie as I recently got 2 DSlites fixed and are now working fine again and didn't cost an arm and a leg which I feared......

i wouldn have a warranty, i bought all 3 of them on ebay all new i must add, but no warranty with them
suppose thats the chance you take when you buy that way

Its €40 to have the touchscreen replaced if its the only job you are having done. Its cheaper if you are getting other stuff done at the same time, I suppose if the case is open already etc.

Nintendo themselves are well worth checking out. I contacted them earlier this year about a DS with top right hinge hanging off. I got the phone number from their website.
They provide a really good service whereby they send a courier to pick up the ds from your home they check it out and then contact you telling you the cost of the repairs. I forget the exact details but i think it's something like £50 sterling if it's out of warranty. If it's more or if you just decide not to go ahead they'll send it back and i think you have to pay for the courier. Otherwise If you give them the goahead you can pay them by credit card over the phone and they ship it back repaired. No charge for shipping.
It's really worth ringing them as they are very clear about all costs. I'm not sure if they give any warranty after repair -I can't remember. I used it cos I wasn't near any of the console repair places.
They collected and delivered fully repaired all within 2 weeks maybe even 10 days. I was well impressed.

My non-touch screen is cracked and ive had it less than a year, will nintendo charge to fix this and how much roughly would the places mentioned in this thread charge to replace the screen?

I have used Console repairs Ireland too and I was very happy with the service. They repaired a Ds lite that kept freezing for 35 euros and gave me a 6 month guarantee.

ds is working fine since repair no probs.:)

    true techies!

Known issue with DS Lite's they should have fixed it for free for you it's a design fault, I've had them replace 2 for me for free, if it happens again push them for a free repair.
