Well done to Floydster. Was talking to others today and conditions were said to be horrible yesterday. A good result any day, but better when the odds are against you.

Cheers!!, I am getting a little more comfortable with the new rifle although finding it hards to multi-task, (looking at the flags and getting into position!!), its deffo coming on though!;)

My second card last diagram I dropped 4 points!:(, but its all a learning curve!!:D

I shot my first bit of 50m in a long time today, was none too well accustomed to its subtleties and posted a 562. Rifle is setting up well now and I know what to work on for the time being.

Scores are definitely up there though. Give it another little while and you'll be in the 590's full time. ;)

That would still have won Class C/D in Comber IWM :D

Actually Floydster, any sign of the new ISSF tie-breaking rules coming in up there yet? (Lots of matches seem to still be using 2005 rules because we're not set up for the 2009 rules yet).

Yeah, but I was shooting in fairly pleasant conditions. :p And I guess I have to take my wins where I can get them these days, not shooting up to form at all. Also need a new glove, as my one is providing no support and killing my wrist (Yes, new kit is what I need, not training... >.>) and some more time on the 50m range to get my act together better. Should be hitting mid 570's if I get my head in the game.

Looking at the scores, seems to have been done on countback. There are a couple of ties.

Yeah done on countback!!;), what way are they sorted now?, 6 years is a long time to be out of shooting and I have no idea whats going on at the minute!! lol

New rules for 2009 say ties are now broken on number of inner tens shot as first resort. Can't see it filtering in at club level any time soon, requires one extra task from the administration. ;)

That sounds like a lot of extra work if not on electronics!;), I've got to get my last card from Hillsborough as one of the diagrams is a stunning 5 shot group!!;)

Yup, lots of extra work :(
Especially for air rifle, where there isn't an inside ten gauge being made yet (you have to use an air pistol gauge). We're even holding off in WTSC from getting the scoring machine sent off for overhaul until they can do the firmware/software upgrade. And some events like Intershoot and some of the large UK matches are using the '05 rules as the ISSF took so long to get the new rules out to people - the match organisers had to get stuff running so they said sod it and didn't wait for ISSF.

There was a count of inner tens from Intershoot next to all the scores though, so looks like they are running to the new rules.
