I know they played in some pub.
Can anyone tell me the name of the tribute band and/ or the pub they were in?

No idea - any idea where the pub was? Anything that stands out about it? Someone might be able to identify it and thus the band.

No idea which pub it was.

My cousin was there. She was in another pub the following night and someone told her that the band have a facebook profile and that her picture was on it.
This is what I'm trying to find.

Apparently they play there every 6 weeks or something.

    Google wasn't much help either.

They're called the Big Guns and they play in Ryan's of Friary Street (and occasionally Kyteler's). Also play at biker rallies.

Irony...me...perish the thought..... incidentally I Know a couple of the guys in the band and the name isn't a random play on automatic weapons, there named after a Rory Gallagher song "Big Guns" off the Jinxed album......Thank god they weren't listening to the Prodogy at the time "Smack my Bi**h up".

    Quite like Highway to Kells

Why are they named after a Rory song when they are adhd tribute?
Shouldn't they be called Thunderstrucked or something?
Anyone here know Paul 'Buddy' Barry bass player from kilkenny?

    Me?

He's not my cousin. Played a few gigs with him 5 or 6 years ago. Great bass player in the Gerry McAvoy (Rory's bass player) ilk. Think he's in a band called Bluesline now. He'd talk the hind legs off a donkey and is very patriotic to Kilkenny i.e. drinks Smithwicks by the gallon;)

There's another AC/DC tribute band playing in Langton's on Friday June 5th (election day). They're called Hells Bells and they're supposed to be one of the best.
