Which benefits for a young unemployed like me?

First of all sorry to the people who may feel that I'm trying to exploit this country's social protections, but I'm a humble contributor to this economy who dumps thousands in this country's economy and gets all that money from abroad anyways, and I'm struggling, so there.

I'm a French immigrant, moved here a year ago. Tried looking for a job to no avail until September of last year (well I did work 3 days at a fast food joint), at which point I decided to create and sell computer software on the Internet. So in a way I'm both unemployed and self-employed, unfortunately my "job" falls a bit short of being enough to live even very modestly. And I'm going to resume searching for a full time job in a matter of days, hoping the aforementioned experience helps.

Considered all of this, and being quite ignorant about welfare in Ireland, could anyone point me to which state benefits I could benefit from, considered where I'm from (France), how long I've been here (1 year) and what I do (unemployed/self-employed)?

your best bit would be to go down to your local social welfare and ask them yourself, they'd be able to tell right away.
