how much was full dole from 2007-2008?

    Think it might be €197.80 but you'll get it exactly on welfare.ie they have booklets for each year with all the rates

    In 2007 it was €185.80 - and will probably go back to that when they cut the dole.

    it went from 185.80 to 197.80 to the cuerrent amount of 204.30.as nolanger says it could go back to the '07 amount

    What evidence is there or where has it been published that it will be cut back to a lower rate?

    They have allready changed the rent alowence so we have to pay 20 quid more a week, now they will further cut the welfare again? Double whammy?

    The Government must consider cutting dole payments to reduce public spending, it has been claimed.
    Goodbody Stockbrokers forecast that inflation will drop by 3% in 2009 and called for a similar reduction in social welfare payments.

    The cost of unemployment benefits could top 5 billion euro this year if the Live Register breaches the 400,000 barrier. Goodbody economists said social welfare payments are the biggest expenditure area for the Government, apart from public pay.
