    Hi,
As per title I am looking to do a proper IQ test online but I know that there must be loads of rubbish out there that is not the right thing.

Anybody know any links to the proper full test?

    Thanks.

You can´t do the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-III) online. Only a fully qualified Clinical or Educational Psychologist is permitted to independently administer the WAIS. The suppliers wont even sell it to you unless you can demonstrate you are qualified to use it.

It is also not just a matter of scoring it up and giving a result. It requires considerable expertise and experience to interpret the results of the WAIS so it is not feasible to do it online.

If you are keen to have it done it will probably cost you a considerable amount of money and you will have to find someone who is qualified to administer and interpret it.

Anyone claiming to be able to do it online is incorrect.

There probably are other standardised psychometric tests that have an online version to give an estimate of IQ but to be honest, you are better off going down the professional route if you want an accurate result.

Beat me to it Gibs, I just did a course in psychometrics and was hoping to flaunt my new knowledge! I got to administer the WAIS-III (to a fellow student) as part of an assignment too which was really cool:cool:

Very interesting to find this out thanks.

I wonder do schools that give an IQ test have to employ psychologists to give them the results then? I remember when I started in secondary level everyone had to do one.

Are you sure it was a proper I.Q test?

An IQ or an aptitude test? I remember doing those tests where they told you whether you were good a mechanical or spatial reasoning or whatever but not a proper IQ test.

May not have been a proper one actually - I can't remember much about it either.

    Thanks for the replies.
