    Hi all,

My car is due for the NCT Test and it is also due for a service. Is it best to get my car serviced beforehand, our put it throught NCT Test find out what is wrong with car and then get it serviced. That way will know what needs to be done in the service.

Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Test first, then service.

No point in the service covering every eventuality and costing you a fortune in the process. Get the test done and see what needs to be rectified - if anything.

There's no harm in getting a standard service done, they could spot something that could cause a fail and save you having to retest. Don't get a pre NCT one.
