Small guitar amp for recording?

Can anyone recommend a small amp for recording? I'll still be using my POD XT but want the sound of my notes going through a little air. I'll be playing my tele through it, looking for a decent sound for melodic but crunchy'ish guitar lines.

I'm also thinking of getting a baritone electric guitar, anyone else been working with them?

Vox have a new mini head, worth a look, and cheap...

    Epi Valve Junior (Head/Combo)
    Fender Champion 600
    Orang Tiny terror (Head/Combo)

All of the above provide more than useable cleans with a bit of comp. Tiny Terror sounds great cranked for some saturation but it's a bit more expensive.

Too add to the list above, I would also definately include the
Blackheart Little Giant and Blackstar HT5.

I got a Little Giant a couple of weeks ago, and I personally love it.. Switchable from 3w to 5w (btw if you do want one, iMuso are the only place with them in stock, and Blackheart don't know when any more will be available, but they did drop the price from 150 to 130 when requested).

Check out the demo's on Youtube, some really good ones up there.

very expensive, but these amps have the best tone control I've ever heard. pure gear porn...

I'd be no stranger to the Baritone gtr. The Dan Electro is ok, a bit loose feeling. Horner make a nice Baritone gtr if you can find one. You'll need an AC-30 or Fender Bassman though!

I just bought a Matamp MiniMat , it's secondhand so my first thing to do is change Toobs. At the moment I'm not entirely convinced.
