    Hey,
    I've seen some screenshots of desktops that seem to have some kind of application showing a bunch of different statistics about the system while in use, such as processor, memory etc. Had a look via google but couldn't find one similar to the one I've seen around. Can anyone recommend one? And is there one that can display the current connection speed to the net?

    Cheers

    BGINFO is the name of the app that diplays the system info on the wallpaper. If you're using vista and looking for a gadget system information 2.3 is what I use...

    BGINFO is available here:

    For XP found it in the Essential Free Software section above. Desktop Sidebar

    As far as I know it runs on XP too.

    There is another Prog HERE:

    And this one displays System Processor and Memory usage (Very customisable too).

    Thanks for the replies, I think this is the thing I had seen before, it's called Coolmon.

    Here's a pic of it in action.

    The graph showing connection speed is the thing I initially wanted it for, and I don't think you get that with the bginfo app.

    EDIT: I'm trying to install Coolmon, but get this error message;
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"' is not a valid integer value.

    Any idea what the problem is here?

    Cheers

    Sweet, cheers.

    I like the way you wiped your external IP but left your name ;)
