A friend of mine has recently been offered a job in Cherrywood but reckons the commute from Drogheda would be a nightmare so is in two minds about taking it.

People have told her she would drive it in about an hour - whereas public transport would probably take at least 2 hours.

What would people suggest - is it possible to drive in an hour or what would the quickest public transport option be

    Thanks

It's about 70 miles from Drogedgha to Cherrywood, so unless she's her own private express lane along the M1/M50, then I reckon 1 hour is laughable.

According to AA Ireland Route Map it is 78 kilometres and should take 58 minutes...

    M1/M50 all the way.

58 mins is the off-peak travel time though. It doesn't take into account delays in the mornings and evenings.
