i need help,im having problems with my sixaxis controlers when im playing its like they just disconnect from my ps3 and when i try turning them back on they just keep flashing and i have to turn off the ps3 alltogether (the switch at the back of the ps3) for them to work again but i might only be able to play again for about a half hour before they knock off again, now they do this when they are fully charged so it nothing to do with the battery.and i know theres a reset button on the back of the controlers i have tried reseting them already but they still keep doing it.

can anyone help me with this problem as its doin my nut in,is there any way you can reset the ps3?

any advice would be great lads!

Is it just 1 controller or 2?
If it's just 1 controller it could be a problem with your controller, but if it's 2 controllers it could be a bluetooth problem with the ps3 itself.

thanks for reply conor ye its both controllers so i was thinking that it might be a problem with the ps3 itself ,have u ever heard of this happening before?

You could try resetting your controllers ,there should be a small reset button underneath the controller ,stick a pin in it or something like that.

Try connecting them with the usb that comes with the ps3 and then turn them on. Sounds like theyre not registered with the console anymore.

had a quick gander on a few sites and there seems to be one problem.
the original sixaxis battery is only 30ma and the ds3 is 300ma.
Maybe your batteries have lost the amp they need to output properly ?

Edit: it's easy to change the battery if you wanted ,i had my ds3 taken apart to clean it.

I don't know whether the 300ma batteries work in the sixaxis ,some of the power might be split for the shock motors.

I was suggesting replacing your batteries with like for like ,in case yours are faulty.
Good luck with it either way.

Any reason for it not to happen with the dualshock controller ?
People seem to have had the problem since last year ?
