i keep getting disconected while playing online.

    every few hours or so i get disconected while online.it seems to be my modem, ive had ntl out twice (new modem) but i still have the same problem.i must say i have a cable running from down stairs to modem as i have system upstairs .i tought this might be the problem, but no it does the same when ps is downstairs too and cable is only 1 meter long so im stumped.any help will be great cheers.

    Maybe try using opendns ,thats if you haven't tried already.
    I was getting dns errors with ntl ,since using opendns it doesn't seem to be happening. Not sure if thats a coincidence or not:confused:

    just turned on ps and dns is logged, so far so good , keep you posted.

    where did you install "opendns" ..hows the connection been ?

    Just watched the demo video on the opendns website and I must say i am impressed , especially the security features and website restrictions that you can apply to any computer connected to a specific router ...and all for free .:D

    So i am reckoning this can also help with maintaining a connection when gaming on line

    Maybe your playing with players too far from you... Try playing with players near you or something^^

    Also the Media Connection being "Enabled" can cause you to be logged out alot!!
