Cervical erosion cauterisation

Can anyone tell me about cauterisation as treatment for a cervical erosion? Specifically, does the procedure hurt, are you in pain afterwards, and is there a time-frame for how long until you can have sex again?

Also, is cauterisation or cryotherapy more common, and which one is better? After treatment, what is the likelihood of developing another erosion?

I always find the "no medical advise" rule tricky, so I'm explicitly saying that this is for research purposes only, and no medical advice is being sought.

After treatment you must wait 10 to 14 days before sex and as long as you have doctor who knows what they doing it shouldn't hurt but it is a little uncomfortable. You shouldn't use tampons for your next period either. you might have some cramping after but it should be mild. I had bad experience with a colposcpy so was dreading treatment but it was no prob. i would advise taking music with headphones with you to help you relax or anything that helps you cause the more relaxed you are the easier the procedure.

If you going for treatment, you should have been given all this info but i wasn't well informed by my clinic so im not surprised if other people in same situation
