    Hi eh weird question i know but a couple of years ago i met up with my father who i had not seen since i was a child he was in bad health , i had a lot of stuff going on already decided it would be best to cut ties , but lately i got a strange feeling and i was wondering is there any way to check online or call some where to find out ?

    RIP.ie but you need the county and I think the date as well.

    If you go to the reading room in the General Registers Office (its in the Irish Life Mall on Talbot Street) you can look over the birth, marriages and deaths registers for the past few years.

    Note: its not up to date- but if it happened 2-3 years ago, it should be in the book.

    Do you have his address???

    If you have aor even a bit of it you can check the register of electors online, or even the phone book.

    You culd look through the local paper obituaries. Some of them have an online search function.

    You could try his local office of regestering births, marriages, and deaths. Its connected to the county council (I think)

    Check the local undertakers

    Or as a last resort, Ask the local radio station eg. Shannonside (god I hate that station) if they have a record of it.
