    Whats the handiest way to know what version PSP your buying?
    Im buying a second hand one and the guys not sure if its 2000 or 3000?

    1st thing to spring to mind is look at the home button (on the left below the screen)
    2000s just say HOME on it
    3000s have the playstation logo

    Ask him when he bought it. The 3000 was only release at the end of last October, as far as I know.
