Probably just kids! Cable ties are effective enough but if someone is really determined all they need is a snippers.

i didnt park until 11.30 last night, and they were gone this morning at 7am.
It def happened then, as I park in a private space all day ( with security guy and cameras)

Well use cable ties.. or if you're that afraid of them being robbed again then don't replace them

    Check your wheel nuts!

Seriously. A few years ago mrs. Milltown's (steel wheel) Golf was parked outside my folks' place. We were outside for a few minutes later on and she noticed her hubcaps were gone. She had been away for work until that day and thought maybe they were nicked at the airport and she hadn't noticed. About an hour later on of the neighbours called in to say the wheels were gone off the car. We thought she meant the hubcaps but when we went out to look again, the back of the car was sitting on the brake drums and the front wheel nuts were loosened.

It's not just fancy alloys that get nicked.

My dad had a Mazda 323 (91-KY-323, still remember it) & some dudes that had just robbed the local school got a flat, stole the spare wheel out of the boot! We lived in a rurla enough area so the cars were usually unlocked.
I spotted the boot open, called the Gardai & they were nailed! Watched it all (the arrests) happen on the road below from the roof of our garage!!!

Mine were robbed too  I haven't bothered to replace them because I fear they'll be robbed again. The car looks terrible without them. I thought of the cable ties idea but the punks will just cut them off. The car is too old to bother replacing more expensive ones.

Lidl are doing hubcaps next Monday.

    Cheap wheel trim:

Doubt anyone will bother robbing them.

If you cable tie them on, remember to have something to undo the cable ties in case of a flat; e.g. a stanley knife, in the car! Bit of a downer to be stuck unable to get the wheel off cause you can't get the trim off.
