    Hi,

I installed Microsoft Office 2003 on my laptop which went fine for all programmes except for Outlook. It won't open and I am getting a message saying 'Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. MAP132.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. this could have been caused by installing other messaging software. please reinstall outlook'. I tried a repair and reinstall option in set up on the installation disc but Outlook is still the same. How do I reinstall Outlook on its own?Any help appreciated.

Close Outlook. Start Explorer or My Computer, go to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033" and rename MSMAPI32.dll to MSMAPI32_old.dll. Restart Outlook and it should sort itself.

    Thanks. I'll try that.

Thanks again Blowfish. That worked fine. Just one more question if you don't mind. In send/receive I am getting a message 'Pop 3 receiving error reported (0 x 80040900). The server name you entered cannot be found on the network'. I looked in accounts and I have Pop Iol and Pop3. Pop Iol is sending and receiving fine. should i just delete Pop 3?

    Thanks again
