When upgrading from standard sky to sky plus, do installers always use quad input lnb's or do they sometimes use dual lnb?
I thought I read somewhere that they stopped using the 2 input lnb's due reliability problems.

    Thanks

Its a Quad LNB that they use cause it leaves you the option to opt for multiroom in the future if you wish to do so.

Thanks for the replies, I have seen plenty of installations with only 2 outputs from a quad left not connected, just wondering if I upgrade to sky plus will they ALWAYS use a quad lnb or do they sometimes use a dual lnb?

they will ALWAYS use them, we don't get given dual lnb's anymore.

single, quad or octo lnb's are only one's issued.

They have never and will never use dual LNBs.

They did use twin-output LNBs for about a month many years ago but they were quietly dropped from use.

So the only choice for a Sky dish is single-output, quad-output or OCTO.
