    Acer,

The Moy is not an early river for salmon.
The first fish was on March 17th last year, caught at Clongee (upstream of Foxford).
The first fish on the Moy Fishery (Ballina) was not caught until 6th of May.
I had my first fish last year on 16th May, and had made many blank trips prior to that.

Trust me, hold back until May to maximise your chances of a fish.

    I hope this helps.
