Can anybody PM me with details of companies who might replace single glazing with double glazing to existing timber (teak) windows? Preferably in the Munster area.

Just to say that it's not a protected structure and the windows are approx. 15 years old.

    Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, it may not be practical.
modern double gazing may be 24mm thick anything smaller , probably not a good idea. The problem you probably have is the frame is not thick enough, or would require a lot of work to make it suitable?

I changed my old single glaze to double about a year ago.

I used 14mm k-glass because I couldn't fit anything else into the frames

I had to make the ope 30mm wider ie 15mm rebate and at least 25mm deep to allow 10mm for putty or slips.

You will also need to strenghten the joints of any sashes to ensure they are strong enough to take the extra weigh.
