What do you consider a pocket bike

As far as I am aware the answer is YES if it is petrol driven, NO if it is electric powered.

You might be better off asking this on the bikes forum!

In most EU contries them things aren't road legal, so you don't need a licence, just a big enough private area to drive them :D

But this is our special emerald isle ...so all bets are off as to the legal requirements for them. (or anyone knowing for sure, for that matter)

Ah! The bikes that produce the most irritating sound known to man.

    Mini-moto.
The short answer is no, mainly because its illegal to ride them in public.
That includes roads, parks, footpaths, housing estates, etc.

Private property only or you risk getting done!

Once its a mechanically propelled vehicle you must be licenced to drive it in a public place.

I wouldn't say those tiny wheels would go to well on sand/stone

You dont have to have a licence for them but if the letter of the law is followed, you can be prosecuted on one of these the same as if you were on a motorbike. (i.e. drunk driving, careless driving, etc)

As for on the beach, its the same story. But at the end of the day, its up to the discretion of the Garda you meet on the day.

I have one at home, played with it abut 3/4 times and it's been sitting in my shed for 4 years now!

    They're not worth it.
