Been to many weddings there, one of the better venues to be honest. They rarley get the food wrong and can be very helpfull. In fact I am best man at a wedding there tomorrow. Remember try and bargain with them. Get the corkage removed if providing your own wine and the likes. They can save a fair bit.

    Hey,

was at a few weddings there. generally very good but recently got engaged and my fiancé is adamant she doesn't want to share the hotel banquetting facilities with another wedding. I know they can split the room and i think they have another banquet hall on the other side of the building but its not unusual for two weddings a day there. you walk into the lobby and see your names and someone elses wedding party underneath it. something to consider!

    best of luck!

    Hey

    thanks for all the feedback!
We met with them last week - it was nice but I wasn't bowled over by it. Maybe it's like buying a car you kinda know the one you want when you see it!

The guy we met with was not willing to negotiate on anything at all. Also the booking fee has gone up to 2k and is non refundable! Before xmas it was 1k!

Having been to 13 weddings last year - I should know a thing or two. Food at Tullamore was the best we had - excellent. As for the afters brilliant residents bar, again the best craic.

    Hiya,

DIdnt see this post when it went up originally so hope you dont mind me adding my bit now.
I am getting married in the Annebrook Hotel in Mullingar later this year and so far the Hotel, jodie in particular cant seem to do enough for us.
They didnt come down on the meal price (which was IMO v reasonable anyway) but have added extras foc that I wanted and asked about that were well over and above their wedding packages.
We are having a small wedding 50 for the day...and then another 150+ for the evening. (hotel can cater for up to 300 for the meal) Not once did i feel like they were trying to get money from us....it was all about what we wanted.

Pm me if you want to know the extras we got....might be off help to you.

If nothing else....go visit it....its not that far from tullamore.....I feel in love with the lounge in the old house part of the hotel......coudl totally picture my guests relaxing round the fire and in the armchairs there.

    Hey,

thanks a million for the feedback! In the end we booked it in the Bridge House Hotel, same kind of thing as you, the guy there was so nice and made us feel like he actually cares about our Wedding and gave us a good few things on top of reasonable prices, so it worked out well in the end! :p
