    Very interesting I love the difference between the Swedish intelligence and the Dublin intelligence. Just shows that Ireland was well down the list to be occupied as a strategic location.

    I'll be fairly sure they didn't care much about Dublin as their interest for a couple of reasons would have been on the West Coast, notably Galway and Shannon. Ireland's value would have been in aiding the interdiction of the convoys from the US, not in controlling Dublin. Location, Location, Location.

    The Russians knew where the party was at!!! They were going over for the women, that's why Vodka is so popular over here, they were flooding the market, preparing us. Then old Gorby had to go and ruin it for everyone.

    But really, the Russians wanted to invade. Cool.

    It's not really "cool" to think that we could have been invaded by a pretty large military force.

    It's scary to think this could have happened.

    Hah, it would never work, the Soviet tanks would be neutralised by all the roundabouts and snarled up by all the traffic. If Galway was on the list it was probably because there was so many lefties here that they knew the flags would be out for them. Up the GSSR!
