Parking in Malahide / Portmarnock / Donabate stations

I was wondering what time do any of these carparks fill up at and how much is it to park there for the day. I'm living in Swords and want to get the train to work beside Grand Canal Dock station. At the moment I'm getting the 41x at 7.55 and getting the dart from tara street. I wouldn't mind leaving earlier in the morning if it meant, on the way home, I could get off the dart and straight into my car. Any advice much appreciated!

It's EUR 2 per day or EUR8 per week. Donabate usen't fill til about half 8 before pay parking, so I'd imagine it'd be free most of the day. less choice of trains home though.

I might try that tomorrow, or else I might try portmarnock, I heard the carpark is bigger then malahide and it would have more trains than donabate.

Portmarnock is bigger than malahide. It used to be full at 7 to 7.30 in the mornings but that was before pay and display. if you are in portmarnock for 8 i would think you wont have a problem.

    Hi,
does anyone know if Portmarnock Dart station fills up these days with paid parking introduced ? -- would be getting there about 8:30am Mon-Fri

I wouldn't be a regular user but I was in Portmarnock about 2.30pm on Thursday and it was half empty. Unless lots of people had a half day I'd reckon it was like that since morning.

I would say so since they added a lot of extra spaces awhile back

It seems lots of people who previously parked in Portmarknock are now parking on Clongriffin, which I think is still free, but not sure.

Of course, people from Swords can use the Dublin Bus route 102 feeder bus to Malahide or Sutton stations. Weekly/monthly/annual Bus & Rail tickets are available, including with the taxsaver scheme. www.taxsaver.ie

Yes park and ride at Clongriffin is free and as its fairly new, then lots of spaces to be had.

    Free until at least September.

Though I could see it being extended. The developer is desperate to get people in there to increase footfall so that the contracted tenant for the empth shopping centre there, Superquinn, will open as planned. They are stalling and it is rumoured that they may pull out altogether considering the current economic climate.

If you use the Park & Ride and would shop in Superquinn on the way home sign this: http://www.petitiononline.com/ClonSupQ/petition.html

+1 always a lot of spaces here any time of the day

Or cycle over to Malahide. I used to do it in twenty minutes in the mornings.

Howth Junction is currently free and you have the choice of both a train going to Malahide or Howth.
