check the installation path that's suggested by the installer. most installers will ask you where you want to install the program, and the less intuitive ones will default to somewhere like C:\Program Files\Adobe for example

edit: this link is a live installer, in case it's an issue with the installer you have http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Yeah the path must be automatically generated as they dont give you an option. That link is where i was trying to install from. Looking on they're site but can find the answer i'm looking for

ok yeah it seems to be a bug with the latest version. recommend you get your hands on a usb stick, call it c: and let the installation run on to that and then copy the files to your h: drive

or you could just rename your hard drive to c:, though you'd have to reinstall or update the registry and shortcuts for pretty much every other program...

Yeah just re-named the pen drive to 'c' then it installed. Thanks for your help

    Install the add on flashblock.

If you access a site, ie: youtube and it says to install flash manually install it from the site restart your computer and flash will be active.Flashblock does exactly what is says, if you wish to access the info behind the flash you sinply click it. Very handy tool to have.
