Rocker cover gaskets

I had an oil leak from my rocker cover gaskets in my A6 2.8. I had them changed last Autumn. They leaked again. I've had them done in the last few days. They're leaking again. The guy said that they looked like they'd not been done in Autumn. What could cause this to happen?

A quality poor gasket? Retorque the bolts.

Is it common to warp the rocker cover?

I spoke to a chap in Murphy Engine Overhauls and he reckons it's not out of the bounds of possibility. I explained to him that it has been done repeatedly and he said "there can't really be any other explanation"...
