wedding in croatia????

    Hi,

    i'm looking for some advice about getting married in croatia either this autumn or next summer. we had our summer hols there last year and thought it a beautiful place. we're thinking to have our wedding out there but not sure how to go about it. I've search around here for information and most people are talking about only one agency. are they the best or is there anyone else someone can suggest? i dont want to make such a big discussion withou being at least a little informed about who would work with us.

    hey brenda, there are a lot of agencies around its true, u just have to find one your happy with. i'm going with the same agency my cousin did, she had her wedding in hvar, I'm having mine in lovran this june. we've already been out to look at the place and everything is already sorted. the agency is called nika travel. they arranged practically everything over there and i'm more than happy to recomend them.

    just my pennies worth. getting bored sitting here waiting for my wedding day :)

    Hi galwayniamh thanks for the reply! yes I heard hvar was a lovely place, wonder if we shouldn't have our wedding there instead, never heard of lovran though.

    Can i ask which agency you are using? I've phoned a couple but i dont feel settled with anyone yet. i called dubrovnik weddings the other day but still didn't feel quite right.

    i said it in my last post nika travel http://www.iasnikatravel.com/ i would read their section on getting married in croatia before anything. theres lots of little pointers i found useful.

    I gave a few agencies a call this week and signed a contract today! :D:D:Dyour nika travel was the last on my list but made the best impressions, they were really helpful! They gave me lots of information about getting married in Croatia and were really supportive. they said having the wedding this year might not be possible, but that depends on what i liked. i said we'd like somewhere not quiet, not touristy and has lots of soul and warmth. they gave me a couple of suggestions and I'm looking at them this week. I'm really excited i can't believe its all happening!!!

    glad you are happy with them, I'm sure they will do you well. I sent you a picture of our venue in your email. take a look. we chose some simple colours, white, orange and green, and the florist and julia are working out the rest of the colour decorations. I also have to start sorting out our documents. its three months until the wedding so we need to get birth certificates and things sorted.
