Firstly I'm a student and have a part-time job to fund my education.

Recently the establishment I work for have made some cutbacks. They have basically cut all the contracts so now there is nobody on a full time contract.
What has started happening is that lets say I'm working 9-6 on a Saturday.Well I'm down for 9-1 as one shift and then 2-6 as another shift. So the hour between 1 and 2 isn't classified as lunch but as the hour off between two shifts. Is this legal,I thought there had to be 2 hours off but I'm open to correction.
The company have started doing this to eliminate the 15min tea breaks aswell.
