    Why? Is there an alternative.

    Maybe the billboards and stuff make a little sense for the punter on his way home to his candle-lit home.

    But the TV ads? Unless theres some guy who's getting fed up of going out to fill the generator chances are if your watching the ESB ad on TV you are already a customer.

    HDTV

    I'm frickin fed up of hearing about HDTV everywhere.

    "This programe is also available in HD on channel 163"

    If I had HDTV I'd probably already be watching the HD channel already.

    AND they changed the classic simpsons opening sequence because of the airing of the first HD episode.

    HD me hole, would ya ever feck off.
