    Try starting from connect.garmin.com instead.

Did you get a USB ANT stick with your Forerunner 50?
Have you installed the latest version of the Garmin ANT Agent?
Have you paired the watch with the ANT stick?
Can you see if the workouts are being uploaded?
When you have the ANT stick plugged in, with the ANT agent running, a workout completed, and the watch in proximity (not sure, think it's 20 metres), then it should automatically upload the workout to your computer/Garmin Connect.

*Edit*: You can also do a [force upload] from the watch, but only if you haven't setup the watch to delete each workout after every upload.

Thanks lads. Firstly i have 5 runs saved. the first one of which miraculously uploaded after an hour of playing round last nite (not sure how). basically i went through the process step by step, downloaded paired etc.

it found my watch with the specific number, i named it etc.

it goes from 0% to 100% on the upload screen but then says transfer failed.

so to 2 other things, when i go to manually pair it via the train mode, it is not on paired automatically - i.e i have to change it. but yet one run is up?

secondly the force upload is only available on on 405. any suggestions appreciated. head is done in at this stage.

Have you tried Garmin Training Centre? It's like a non-internet alternative to the Web-based Garmin Connect. You can dowload it here: Garmin Training Centre. It's not quite as slick, but at least if your problems are internet related, you'll have access to your runs.

After installing the above application, you can choose to send your workouts to both Garmin Connect and Garmin Training Centre.

Also, can you check this location on your pc:
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices\<device number>\Garmin Connect\Pending Uploads
to see if all of your workouts have been uploaded to here? If they have you can manually upload them from Garmin Connect (and import them into Training Centre). Substitute the stuff in square brackets for your own values. If you're not running Vista the path will be slightly different.

I have the same problem kenny,
When you log into garmin connect,on the top right hand corner there is an "upload" tab.
Click that and it will take your runs from your watch for you and put them on your dashboard.
I know you should not have to do that but...hey...it works.

    I have a problem myself now :
The other day i lost the connection between the footpod and watch.
I followed the setting to re-pair but it is not working.
It says to follow varied steps and the watch will link up with either footpod, bike sensor or heart rate monitor, does not tell you what to do when that fails !!!

Anybody any ideas...i have mailed garmin direct but could be a couple of days before they get back to me.

Hi Sosa, have you tried the motionbased forum? They have a Forerunner 50 section, and the question may have been asked/answered before. Linky here.

Took a look Krusty...but to no avail.
Trust me to have the one problem that is not talked about or on the faq list on the garmin site !

If anyone has any other suggestions to solve the above problem i would appreciate it.

I emailed the seller on ebay and asked for a replacement footpod...we will see what happens there.

Chanced my arm last night and replaced the battery in the footpod even though i was not getting a message saying it was low.
I have a connection ever since...so hopefully problem solved !

    Hi All

Just been given one of these with footpad, can use it OK and gone on to web page and forum but a lot of queries are technical. Basically what do people do with these, should I set a training plan, what do you monitor etc or are they just a gimmick?

    Thanks for any info
