Hi all. Basically, all my camping experience has been restricted to Ireland. I have booked a week in the south of France in Mid July. we will be based in the Nice, Avignon area of the country. I know that this is high season in France, but would it be hard for a Couple to book into Campsites (2 people, 1 car, 1 tent) on…

Hi all.
Basically, all my camping experience has been restricted to Ireland.
I have booked a week in the south of France in Mid July. we will be based in the Nice, Avignon area of the country. I know that this is high season in France, but would it be hard for a Couple to book into Campsites (2 people, 1 car, 1 tent) on the day, or is it necessary to have reservations. The Tour de France will be nearby also on the week we will be around.
