driving in japan

    anyone know the legalities of somebody moving to japan who might want to be able to drive over there?

    Apply for international driving licence, that will let you drive for a year over there.

    If they intend to purchase a car I think you need to have a license to say that you have a parking space for the vehicle on your property.
