Ventrilo - Problems using application - can you help?

    Hi-I am trying to do a project using Ventrilo. I am collaborating with 2 students in Florida.

    So, I am here in college on their wireless internet connection on my laptop. I cannot download onto the computers in the college. One of the project partners gave me an IP host address and port number which to connect to.

    It wont connect. I have checked IP address 100 times and port number. The project partner said that he got the address from his room mater who uses it for gaming. the thing is that on their side (in Florida) they can connect no problem.

    Am pulling my hairout. Anyone any ideas or can help asap please

    The college network has probably blocked the port you're trying to use. Thats what I gather from your post anyways.
