    Hi all,

I was about to apply for my NCT online until it asked for my cars first registration date. Now the thing is Ive lost my VLC ( log book ) & now have to fill out the RF134 form etc etc. In the mean time, where else could I find out when the car was first regestered:confused:

    Cartell.ie?

I suppose thats one way. I just thought it might be stamped on the car somewhere on the engine or something.

Nope, it defo wont be stamped on the engine, or the car itself. If you bought the car new, it may be on the invoice.

Check NCT expiry date, I think year you bought car and NCT expiry day-month (not year) is the first registration date!

So if NCT is due on 19/02/2009 and car is bought in 2002 then 19/02/2002 is first registration date!!!

If you go down to your local tax office with the Garda stamped RF134 and €12, it takes only a day or 2 to get the new cert through the post.
