What kind of turnover is the norm in a small studio these days?

How much recording/mixing would get done in a typical week?

Also how many staff would be required to run a small studio?

    Simple answer! Not enough.
If you want to discuss turnover, how much are you thinking of charging a day?
I'd say these days if you were filling one day in three you'd be doing well.

Staff-wise I'd say two would be enough. Although a lot of places have just one person on staff ie. the owner.

Recession is improving things IMO. I've been waiting for this for years, delighted it's here at last. :D

Turnover would obviously depend on how much was being charged a day. (Daily rate x amount of days worked = turnover) minus expenses etc.

In a typical week say six days I could mix maybe 8 or 9 songs. Recording? I dunno, 3 days a track if we were doing a couple. Or maybe an album in 5 or 6 weeks flat out.

This apparent recession is hitting the big boys hence olympic closing in uk etc.. and alot of others.......

Its kinda up to yourself and what you have to offer and how good of a result you get.

Remember people only remember the bad things :)
