    Has anybody noticed more hares than usual around this year than others. Every night i am lamping i nearly see more of them than rabbits.

    We seem to have a lot of them too, numbers are definitely on the increase. Every night we go lamping foxes we see hares. Its great to see

    +1 I'm finding the same down here delighted to see so many they even come to the fox call sometimes.
    A farmer told me lately that he sowed a new hedge last summer but it's knackered now with the hare's chewing on it.
    It probably wont be long before he starts looking at ways of getting rid of them.

    a lot of crops were cut late this two years giving the leverts a better chance

    + on hares here too. Not many rabbits though??????????
    Was it all the wet weather that has seen a decrease in the number of rabbits? Drowning in their burrows perhaps.

    I agree, I've seen a definite increase in hares on my patch in Tyrone these last two years.
