i ran the norton removal tool on a pc with norton system works, (the one that takes over the recycle bin)

noticed a lot of apps stopped working as soon as i started running it, removal tool hung and i rebooted the pc after 5 mins

when pc rebooted i got the welcome screen and no accounts to login to (ctrl alt del twice made no difference)

ran a system restore using an ERD commander cd, pc booted and the accounts were back, but both were empty new accounts

still had apps problems, so i found all the users files "phew" still in documents and settings, backed up, rebuilt and restored, 5hrs extra work because of norton removal tool on system works bug
