I haven't followed the the TOC much ... I was just wondering what you guys thought ... Is the race 'bought' for Arsmtrong? Given that Leipheimer won it in 07 and 08, is he going to give that one to L.A.? ...? Given he's everywhere ...

Nope, Astana have Leipheimer as captain on the road, and LA is riding domestique it would appear. Essentially I think it's a case of "I'll help you in Cali, you help me in the Giro and le Tour"

And LA is proving to be a good help so far, I think.

In case anyone is looking to watch the coverage of the Tour of California online it's available free on www.cycling.tv. They provide a highlights package after every day of racing and they also let you watch every stage live and re-live if you like.

However, when you click on any of the links, after a short ad, the screen will kindly tell you that the video you have clicked on is not available in your country!

The solution is here. Just install this tiny program and run it in the background. It's very very simple. You don't need to do anything. It's just a tiny piece of software that will manipulate your IP address so that Cycling.TV will think you're in America. Enjoy!

I've been watching this, live, every day so far. It's on Eurosport 1 or 2 every night, but times change - I think it starts at 21:00 tonight.

I had a quick look on the official site last night and it was being streamed live there, with plenty of flashy graphics and features.

Eurosport commentary has been great so far, especially on the first stage when they didn't have pictures coming in for most of it. No Sean Kelly though, David Harmonn keeps referencing him, I think he really misses having him there.

Beats the Sky Sports 30 minute broadcasts on the tour down under, that was woeful.

Be careful to only use this application when watching tv type stuff. Don't go browsing the web, checking e-mail through it, banking through it. Some hosters of these sorts of VPN networks set them up to simply monitor the traffic going through. Not saying this crowd do, but best to be wary !

They both are close to the front now(gc), of course Levi is defending the jersey for now, but I think that it will much depend on TT on Friday.
Each man on it's own there.

I don't think Lance is going for the win.

I think Lance is working on stamina and fitness, I would be surprised to see him make any move for GC. This is for Levi.

What happened Cav last night on the sprint?

Bad tactics, he seemed to lose his front men...this might count as spoiler, we should move it to another thread
